The Tempest is a softshell riding hoodie at heart, but we gave it some slick upgrades to make sure it never leaves you out in the cold. And with plenty of awesome design touches like the cowl-style collar and spacious kangaroo pouch with a phone harness, it’s a park-ready hoody that’ll feel right at home all over the mountain. Comfy, cosy, and ready to shred. It’s time to bring the thunder.

4-Way Stretch Softshell
Our 4-way stretch softshell is a 3-layer bonded fabric that has a smooth, DWR-treated outer, a waterproof membrane inner, and a medium-weight fleecey liner to keep you cosy on the slopes. Combining technical performance with total comfort, our 4-way stretch softshells are warm, reliable, and super-durable, too (80,000 Martindale score minimum).
Durable Water Repellent (DWR)
We equip all our fabrics with the PFC-free ECO Huntsman Zelan R3 DWR treatment. Water beads right off instead of soaking in, meaning improved waterproofing and reduced moisture ingress even in severe weather conditions and deep powder.
Fully Taped Seams
We fully tape our seams to make sure water can't get in. The seams are the weakest point of any garment, so by using a special tape that makes them totally waterproof, you can ride in the deepest powder or the gnarliest storms with confidence.

In all honesty, the quality of the jacket is awesome. The problem was when skiing I couldn’t get the hood over the helmet. We had some real cold spells and I couldn’t put my hood up. I’m going to probably put it on eBay. This wouldn’t stop me buying Montec in the future. Quality is brill.
